614 Refugees Leave Sinabung Kabanjahe

As many as 614 people displaced by the eruption of Mount Sinabung in Tanah Karo, North Sumatra, on Saturday around 12.00 am they left the shelter locations in Kabanjahe.

Head of Public Relations (PR) Government district (regency) Tanah Karo, Jhonson Tarin said that refugees who go home for the shelter occupies Jambur Dalihan Natolu.

Previous 500 other refugees who live in the Multipurpose Building KNPI office has returned to his village on Friday (8 / 10) around 11:00 pm.

Those refugees return to their villages by using transportation provided by Pemkab Tanah Karo.

Thus all Sinabung refugees who had been in Kabanjahe had returned to their homes.

"So no more Sinabung refugees living in Jambur Kabanjahe and completely empty," said Tarin.

He said, Sinabung refugees who return to their homes came from the village and Simacem Bekerah Naman Teran and Village Districts Like Meriah, District Umbrella, Karo District.

The refugees are allowed to go home after a two Sinabung last week standby status (level III), since October 7, 2010 decreased to alert status (level II).

Announcement Sinabung status was based on Karo Regent Daulat Daniel Sinulingga Number: 360/13431/Kesbang/2010 October 7, 2010.

Regent letter is based on the recommendation of the Head of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) in its letter No: 1946/45/BGL.V/2010 October 7, 2010.

The number of refugees who have returned home almost reaches approximately 23,557 inhabitants.

During these refugees are accommodated in 11 sites Jambur (Karo community meeting place, red) in Kabanjahe.

The 11 shelter sites, some of whom Jambur Lige (2,500 inhabitants), Adil Makmur Jambur 2655 inhabitants), Jambur Lopati Tuah (1434 inhabitants), Jambur Sempakata (1267 inhabitants), Jambur Dalihan Natolu (1293 inhabitants), Building KNPI / Multipurpose Guna (560 people) and elsewhere.

Sinabung in Karo regency was first erupted on Sunday (29 / 9) at around 0:08 pm and pulled out a thick smoke, sparks fire, volcanic ash, and sulfur particles covering hot enough vegetables, citrus, coffee from farmers.

Sinabung has a height of 2640 meters above sea level. Coordinates Sinabung peak is 3 degrees 10 minutes N, 98 degrees 23 minutes east longitude, and is the highest mountain in North Sumatra which is approximately 110 km west of Medan.
