Toyota & Q-Park create hybrid only parking spaces

Mark Howard of Q-Park and Michael Gaynor of Toyota Toyota has teamed up with Q-Park to allow all drivers of self-charging hybrids to take advantage of priority parking in four Q-Parks around the country, writes Trish Whelan . Drivers don’t even need to drive a Toyota as long as it is a self-charging hybrid car. Toyota’s hybrid only parking bays are currently located in these Q-Park locations: St Stephen’s Green, Dublin; Clery’s, Dublin; Grand Parade in Cork; and Harvey’s Quay in Limerick. In addition to these reserved parking spaces, hybrid driving Q-Park customers can already save 25 per cent on the standard annual Q-Park Premium Card by availing of the Unlimited Hybrid Premium Card.

Toyota’s ‘Upgrade to Hybrid for Free with Finance’

Toyota C-HR Toyota has launched its ‘Upgrade to Hybrid for Free with Finance’ campaign which makes it easier for Irish consumers to switch to hybrid, writes Trish Whelan . The campaign starts off the Japanese car maker’s 182 sales drive in the run up to Showtime, the national sales event which takes place in all dealerships from Wednesday 6 June to Saturday 9 June. Trade In, Trade UP packages are available up to €4,500, with APRs from 2.9pc.  Toyota's RAV 4, Auris, C-HR, Yaris, Prius, Corolla are included in the deal highlights. The new minor change Aygo will arrive this month and is available from €30 per week. APRs are from 2.9pc. With the Toyota Proace, customers can choose from either a HP offer with APRs from 1.9pc or a trade in booster of up to €3,000. Hybrid now accounts for half of Toyota’s car sales this year and a recent national iReach survey commissioned by Toyota Ireland showed that hybrid will soon be the second most popular car choice in...

'Face it Down' Awareness Week

The Face it Down mobile phone road safety campaign by Toyota and the Road Safety Authority has led to the creation of a new 'national week', the National Face It Down Awareness Week, writes Brian Byrne . During this week, from 23-27 April, motorists using the Face it Down app will earn double points for every journey, which can be redeemed at Topaz service stations for coffee, and for insurance discounts from FBD Insurance. The app was launched by Toyota last year, and some 12m kilometres have been travelled by motorists using it. It has been downloaded more than 42,000 times.
